Scanning Slides and Photos

Do you have boxes of old 35mm slides (or color prints or negatives) that you would like to digitize for use on a computer or more permanent storage? In this workshop we’ll practice scanning 35mm slides and/or photos into images using the Epson Perfection V700 Photo scanner. Time permitting, we’ll also briefly cover some of the basic terminology and procedures for digitizing slides and photos, and mention a few of the tools you may want to use to “clean up” the resulting image. This will be a “hands-on” workshop, so you’ll be doing the actual scanning (with instructor supervision). If you have a flash/thumb drive, please bring it to the class; bring a few (2 to 5) slides and/or photos too.

Platform: the scanner is connected to a PC but is usable by everyone.
