Most people use Alexa to obtain information/weather/news and to play music. But Alexa also contains the ability to control multiple devices in your home with simple voice commands. Things like turning on/off lights or groups of lights, turning on/off televisions or changing channels, setting thermostats, monitoring web cameras, answering the door, starting your coffee maker, etc. This class explains how to set up and activate many of these features as well as the commands to control them. It also teaches you how to create Routines, Blueprints, and IFTTT to automate features.
Students should attend “Getting to Know Alexa” Class in preparation for this class.
