Google Drive and the Google Suite of applications are a free and convenient way to create, share, and store files. Google describes Google Drive as “Store any file: Keep photos, stories, designs, drawings, recordings, videos, and more. Your first 15 GB of storage are free with a Google Account. Your files in Drive can be reached from any smartphone, tablet, or computer. So wherever you go, your files follow.”

Google Office apps consist of g-mail, Docs, Sheets, and Slides. The documents produced by these apps will reside in the cloud. You can convert MS Office documents to its corresponding Google App document, and share them and work on them together with your friends and coworkers. Google Drive and the Google Apps can be very useful for clubs here at Quail Creek.

Part 2 of this class will continue on from part 1 and focus on the G-Apps and their relationship to MS Office, converting Office Documents to G-Apps, and creating documents and working together on the G-Apps.

Prerequisites: Part 1 of this set must be must be taken before Part 2.
A working knowledge of Windows File Explorer or the Mac Finder will be very helpful.
