Digital Photo Organization and Cataloging

This class will first cover the organization of your photo files on your computer hard drives, including file names and folder structure. You will find that the best practice organization will lead to the elimination of duplicates and to better and easier backups of your photo files. Next, we will cover the creation and use of a catalog. The catalog is software to help you locate a photo or a set of photos based upon a set of criteria. Various sources of catalogs will be discussed, from free to paid subscriptions. We will also discuss the role that Google Photos and Flickr can play.
